MentoMint program of the Saarland University

Many thanks to Anne Könnel for taking over a mentorship.

In order to increase the proportion of female students in the so-called MINT subjects, the "MentoMINT" program of the Saarland University offers female pupils in grades nine to eleven an early insight into a scientific or technical course of study. This year, our trainee Anne Könnel from Katrin Philippar`s group in Saabrücken (Plant Biology) took over a mentorship and enabled a female pupil to visit labs, to accompany Anne during a working day, to get in contact with many students, PhD students, Postdocs and Professors and to learn about the university life.

We would like to thank Anne for her efforts and hope, that both females will stay in contact.
